A little information about the area.
Calheta is situated along the west coast of Madeira and is favoured for its beautiful weather and fantastic sunsets. Arco Calheta is a perfect location to live in as the area is still fairly rural with beautiful scenery and freindly village atmosphere. This area is far from remote although peaceful and quiet as the village offers a host of amenities in the form of shops, restaurants, bars and places of interest.
Calheta has it's own man made sandy beach, along with a hotel, supermarket, bank, shops and restaurants, the Marina is an exciting new place of interest, which springs to life during the summer months.
This area is far enough away from the hub bub of the city but a short drive should one need city life. It is close and has easy access to all the other areas of the island which will shortly be made even easier when the new bypass from Madelena do Mar through to Ponta do Pargo opens later this year.
