Lovely views of the ocean to the front, mountains to the rear and banana plantations and vineyards in this quiet part of the village. Near to shops, restaurants and bars, but quiet enough to enjoy a relaxing retreat in stunning surroundings!

Ponta do Sol is a popular village with the locals and tourists alike, due to it's pretty and ambient setting and of course fantastic weather (Ponta do Sol means Point of the sun)! It is has its own beach with 'safe' swimming area, loads of bars, restaurants and a couple of hotels. There is a small shopping centre, pizzaria, post office, chemist and quite a few banks so, all in all and for a quiet and small village we pretty much have everything! There are supermarkets in the neighbouring villages of Ribeira Brava and Calheta and the village is ideally located with in easy access of Funchal via the Rapida, Ribeira brava, Calheta, Sao Vicente, the mountains and the rest of the island in both directions.
Facilities
Studio is equipped with a kitchenette, comprising of Kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, 2 ring hob, small oven, fridge, hairdryer and utensils.The apartment is of open plan design, is very light and comfortable and is of a tasteful, modern design.Access is via separate entrance and staircase, with own garden terrace and seated viewpoint. The garden is shared with the owners but gated to provide guests with their own privacy.The owners live on Site and are available at all times. Own car is highly recommended. Towels and Linens supplied, and changed weekly.Welcome pack can be arranged upon booking. UK satalite, Freesat TV or European Freesat TVWifi Internet

295 euros per week during 2010 based on two people sharing. Minimum stay 3 nights at 50 euros per night. Towels and Linen provided. 25% non refundable deposit required to secure reservation. Please note, dip pool is now not available.
